これ が私の名前です！
スウェーデンの南部にあるヨンショーピング市で生まれました。弱冠20歳の時、私はスウェーデンのテレビ曲が放映したドキュメンタリー「Goal in Sight」の主人公として有名になりました。
私は1968年、両腕が無く、片足は半分の長さ、もう一つの足だけが普通の状態で生まれてきました。義足を付けて歩いています。ハンディーの原因は未だ解明されていません。
3歳の時から泳ぐことを始めました。18歳の時にナショナルチームに入り、その年に開かれた世界大会で２つの金メダルを取り、２つの世界記録を達成しました。その時の最大の目標は、1988年韓国のソウルで開かれるパラリンピックに出場することでした。
1991年、ストックホルムのRoyal Collage of Musicを受験、４年間の学びを修了した後、世界中を回る音楽ツアーが始まりました。その中で最も良く訪れた国は、日本、韓国、台湾、シンガポール、タイでした。アジアでのツアーの回数は約80回。約50タイトルのCDをリリースし、テレビ、ラジオ、メディア、映画にも出演したので多くの方々から注目を得ました。1998年、長野で開かれたパラインピックの開会式でゲストとして歌わせて頂いた経験は非常に名誉なことでした。又、人の尊厳や個性、豊かな人生についての講演を様々な場所でさせて頂いています。
1990年から「口と足で描く芸術家協会」の会員になっています。口でも足でも私は絵を描いています。

2008年1月、スウェーデンのカール16世グスタフ国王から、国王からのお言葉と名誉ある勲章が授与されました。そこには
「アスリートとして又アーティストとして、
又スウェーデン国内と海外において障害を持った方々へのモデルとしての卓越した業績を記念してここに賞します」
1997年から98年にかけて、スウェーデンのテレビの音楽番組で2シーズン司会をさせて頂きました。
2005年の春、タイから名誉市民権を授与されました。
2009年、TEDのスピーカーとして、ビル・ゲイツ氏やアル・ゴア氏と言うような有名な方々と共に名前を連ねました。
Since 2010 have most of my performances taken place in Sweden after being the main guest in the big 90 min show ‘This is your life’. After the show I was frequently hired as lecturer and singer and appeared in several TV-shows.
In 2020, basically all of my performances and international concert tours were canceled due to Covid-19. I took the opportunity to study and then developed an online singing course that was launched in Swedish, English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. I then studied furthermore and is now a certified counselling therapist since 2023.
June 10, 2017 I married Patrik Vendelius.
We live just outside Jönköping, in the countryside.

Another movie tip...
In the spring of 2009 I was one of the speakers at TED in Los Angeles. It was a huge experience and honor to be part of this great event.
Al Gore, Bill Gates, Hans Rosling were some of the speakers. In the program, my speech was right after Meg Ryan who was supposed to give a 5-minute speech and read a poem she had written about the joy of becoming a mother, but for various reasons it was canceled. Right after my speech, Herbie Hancock and his amazing musicians played. And backstage I had a little chat with Jamie Cullum. Guess if I was starstruck, the whole time!
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment & Design and each speaker gets 18 minutes at their disposal. These TED talks can be watched online for free.
My speech was never published due to technical problems with the recording. I gave another TED talk in Stockholm, but the recording failed then as well. But later that year I was invited to a similar conference in Mexico: "La Cuidad de las Ideas" where I gave the same speech and that recording you can see!
