How come you're never really happy with your body? I've accepted my body even though it looks different, but I still get hung up on the same things as many of my friends. And most of all, it's about weight.

At the turn of the year 2019/2020, something happened to my knee, it was very painful and I couldn't stand or put pressure on it. Since I only have my right leg to rely on, I had to use my wheelchair. For 16 months, I, or rather my body, was examined, and it turned out I'm basically worn out everywhere. Finally, we tried a cortisone injection in my knee and it worked wonders and gave me some pain relief long enough to train my leg so I could start walking again.

During these months, I gained almost eight kilos. (See picture) It's hard on my knee to have to carry these extra kilos so I need to lose weight. But being in menopause and trying to lose weight at the same time is not an easy game. I've tried different strategies but finally I found what worked for me.

Shake, shake, shake!!!

This is what my menu usually looks like:

BREAKFAST: Low fat Natural Yogurt with my homemade Müsli and Aronia berries from the garden.
LUNCH: Forever's shake! I run it in the blender with milk and a piece of frozen spinach. I also throw in a Fiber and an Argi+. To this I also take 2 Forever therm - tablets that increase metabolism.
DINNER: Something cooked, varied, that Putte (my husband) cooks!

COFFEE BREAKS: Coffee with fruit or a crisp sandwich.

Since the summer I have lost 6 kg. Now over Christmas and New Year I have gained a couple of kilos again, but the best of all is that I have found a strategy that works!
